Carl Jacobson is a contemporary digital artist based in Los Angeles, California. His work is held in the permanent collection of Museo Francescano in Rome, a collection which dates back to the 12th century. Jacobson's previous showings include Alex Grey’s MicroCOSM Gallery in New York City, Carousel du Louvre in Paris, The State Museum of Louisiana, and two showings in Surreal Salon at the Baton Rouge Gallery, curated by the late Greg Escalante of Juxtapoz magazine. His work has been profiled on Louisiana Public Broadcasting, used on the cover of a collection of dialogues by Lama Surya Das and Ken Wilber, and was the featured artwork for the VIP jam session following the funeral of Ray Charles.
Beyond digital art, Jacobson has had a storied career in music and technology and worked withRay Charles before his passing to empower him through technology to do musical arrangements without the assistance of others. Other icons Jacobson has supported include Chuck D and Public Enemy, B.B. King, George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic, and Jon Anderson of Yes.In his role as a technologist, Jacobson joined the CMO of Intel on stage during her keynote at their IDF conference and in videos for the launch of the Core i7 processor.
Jacobson is a recognized leader in marketing and branding and is currently the Director of Brand for Polk Audio and Definitive Technology and formerly the Marketing Director for JBL Professional and AKG. His branding work was featured by Kevin Roberts, Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi in hisbestselling book, The Lovemarks Effect: The Future Beyond Brands. In 2022, Jacobson's advertising campaign for Definitive Technology, “The Heart Rate Challenge” was nominated for a Webby.
Jacobson is a father of five and views his greatest life’s work as being the best dad he can be.
